About the role

Role focused on representing Amazon Flex in processes before Australian labour regulators, managing case intake and coordination with legal and enforcement teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliant practices in last-mile delivery operations.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Amazon at Fair Work Commission proceedings by articulating the company's position, policies, and procedures, and seek mutually beneficial resolutions while safeguarding the company's interests and adhering to legal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with legal, enforcement, and policy teams to assess and mitigate risks related to labour disputes, compliance issues, and regulatory changes; analyze claims and evidence; liaise with internal/external legal teams; provide feedback to enforcement program owners for proactive risk mitigation.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain comprehensive case files; conduct deep dives, gather evidence, and liaise with stakeholders; coordinate with internal departments and external counsel on case strategies and timelines.
  • Identify emerging risks and regulatory trends; develop proactive risk mitigation strategies and policy recommendations; provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on best practices for Fair Work Commission proceedings.
  • Monitor compliance of internal policies related to the Digital Labour Platform Deactivation Code (DLDP); prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and legal on enforcement-related risks, trends, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience representing an organisation in Fair Work Commission (FWC) proceedings, conciliation, or other labour arbitration/tribunal settings in Australia
  • Experience in employee relations, labor relations, human relations or labor/employment law
  • Working knowledge of Australian employment/labour law and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Fair Work Act, Digital Labour Platform Deactivation Code or equivalent gig-economy regulation)
