About the role

SDE role focused on designing, developing, and operating scalable fulfillment services for Amazon's Quick Commerce (QC) external fulfillment stack, building a 0→1, large-scale, composable work-cell-based system powering micro-stores from inbound receiving to last-mile handoff.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable services and APIs for the QC fulfillment stack
  • Develop systems that enforce operational controls beyond Amazon sites, including external fulfillment environments with 3P partners
  • Collaborate with Senior SDEs, Principal Engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to define technical solutions for fulfillment at scale
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following Amazon's engineering best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency, targeting industry-leading speeds
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar across the team
  • Work in a fast-paced, agile environment with rapid iteration cycles, shipping new capabilities in weeks not months

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
