About the role

Software Development Manager leading teams building new systems for Amazon Connect within AWS, driving technical strategy, architecture, and delivery across multiple programs while fostering operational excellence, security, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical strategy design development deployment and operations for new and existing AWS services working alongside Amazon Connect.
  • Lead and mentor multiple software engineers.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to define product vision roadmap and create impactful solutions.
  • Build and grow high-performing teams.
  • Drive architectural decisions for large-scale highly available cloud services.
  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage multiple concurrent programs and projects in an intrapreneurial environment.
  • Foster a culture of innovation inclusion and technical excellence.
  • Solve complex challenges that organization faces today through innovative use of cloud and AI technologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
