About the role

Software Development Engineer role focusing on end-to-end ownership of payment systems handling billions in transactions, collaborating with product managers and business stakeholders, and leveraging AI-assisted development to deliver secure, scalable financial software across global operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own features and components of our payment systems end-to-end.
  • Design the solution and make the tradeoffs; code independently with support from senior engineers.
  • Work directly with product managers and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver the right outcomes.
  • Ship incrementally with staged rollout and measurement.
  • Reduce operational load by turning manual interventions into code fixes or self-healing mechanisms.
  • Leave the system better explained than you found it with clear documentation and design choices.
  • Raise the bar around you: code reviews, mentoring, and onboarding new teammates.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
