About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The role focuses on diagnosing hardware, fiber, networking, and related issues within data centers, performing repairs, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety and efficiency in AWS Data Center Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs
  • Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
  • Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world-class safety culture
  • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for data centers in AWS Cloud regions
  • Become the primary resolver for the support team and gain troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases
  • Engage other appropriate solutions groups on more complex problems to drive solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience in computer networking, or experience working with Linux operating systems
  • Computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience, or experience in similar technical or vocational roles
  • Saudi National only
