About the role

Software Development Manager to lead AI-driven testing and verification solutions at ASBX, defining product and engineering strategy, growing a large team, and delivering transformative testing capabilities at scale across Amazon’s AI Development Life Cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Defining and owning the product strategy for AI-driven testing at Amazon: what to build, in what sequence, and why that sequence wins.
  • Hiring, growing, and leading a large engineering team through rapid expansion and increasing scope.
  • Partnering with SDE, PE, and PM colleagues to translate product direction into technical architecture, and ensuring coherence.
  • Meeting with customers across Amazon to understand testing needs and how to gain trust in AI-generated test evidence.
  • Driving delivery execution at a pace that matches the domain; avoiding six-month delays that outpace progress in the field.
  • Owning the product vision for the area in collaboration with a product manager, making hard prioritization calls.
  • Shaping the direction of TestSpaces to ensure a coherent system across execution and testing-judgment layers.
  • Communicating strategy, progress, and risk to senior leadership clearly.
  • Leading the team building AI testing capabilities already in daily use by tens of thousands of Amazon engineers and evolving them into a cohesive testing system.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • 3+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle experience
  • 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++ experience
  • 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture experience
  • 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
