About the role

Software Development Engineer II on the 3P AV Measurement team building third-party measurement solutions for advertisers across Amazon’s ad platforms. Responsibilities include design, implementation, testing, and deployment of data-intensive analytical solutions using a Scala/Spark/EMR stack, with opportunities to introduce new processes and technologies in a fast-paced, low-structure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implementation, testing, and deployment of data-intensive analytical solutions to support advertising measurement across Amazon's platforms
  • Work with stack including Amazon Clean Room, Spark (Scala), EMR, S3, Elasticsearch, JVM-based services and job schedulers, and cluster management services
  • Collaborate with team to innovate and introduce new processes and technologies
  • Apply architectural instincts to solve hard engineering problems and reduce ambiguity

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 2+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 2+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
