About the role

Engineer to contribute to SCOT-FO shipment optimization initiatives, focusing on AI-powered network automation, large-scale route optimization, and scalable distributed systems within Amazon's SCOT organization.

Responsibilities

  • AI-Powered Network Automation – Build agentic AI systems that monitor, optimize, and autonomously evolve a large transportation network, generating, validating, and deploying network configurations using large language models and automation.
  • Route Optimization at Scale – Design and implement graph algorithms to find optimal routes across a massive, multi-modal transportation network, optimizing for speed, cost, and environmental sustainability.
  • Scalable Distributed Systems – Build highly available, low-latency services that process millions of decisions in real-time for transportation planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
