About the role

AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) with Kumo IDR team seeking an SDE II to build AI-native incident detection and response services across AWS. Focus on AI agents, scalable multi-service architectures, and rapid, iterative development to enhance customer experiences during incidents.

Responsibilities

  • Work across breadth of AWS services with software development teams, product management, incident management engineers, and customers.
  • Build with AI-native practices to raise standards for software construction and operations.
  • Contribute to onboarding, observability signal ingestion, and incident response correlation services within IDR and Kumo.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems
  • 1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
