About the role

Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Quick team building AI-powered enterprise solutions that unify data sources, enable AI-driven workflows, and scale to enterprise data. Role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing core platform components with emphasis on performance, scalability, reliability, and impact on business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will build features in Amazon Quick that is going to be trend setting in the Gen AI field.
  • This is an area that requires solving the hardest engineering challenges to enable machine learning powered solutions for our customers.
  • Our solutions have to be scalable, efficient, and fault tolerant.
  • Deliver large scalable systems, design new software systems and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position.
  • Mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues.
  • Work within a fast moving, startup-like environment inside a large company to rapidly deliver services with broad business impact.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
