About the role

Finance Manager role within AWS Finance focused on end-to-end financial support for AWS datacenter operations and infrastructure. Drive financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and process improvement to enable cost efficiency and strategic initiatives in AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations
  • Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
  • Manage the financial planning and month end close processes. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions
  • Perform detailed NPV analysis in support of Strategic Initiatives and goals taken by finance and business teams
  • Support financial analysis for ad-hoc projects and as needed
  • Analyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives
  • Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing AWS business
  • Preparing detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies
  • Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement
  • Dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insights
  • Interact with financial systems such as Uno, Blueprint, and SQL workbench
  • Directly supervise teams and developing people

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, tax, economics, or a related analytical field
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
