About the role

Software Development Engineer role on the Secure Ingress and Egress (SIEGE) team. Focused on building scalable encryption services, improving developer tooling and operational excellence to protect customer data and privacy across Amazon’s products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build highly scalable, low latency key security services used by engineering teams across the company
  • Contribute to the architecture and evolution of our encryption platform
  • Improve the developer experience through intuitive tooling, self-service capabilities, and clear interfaces
  • Maintaining and promoting a high operational excellence bar

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and problem solving
