About the role

Manager of a software development team responsible for onboarding and lifecycle management of Amazon's 1.8M contingent workforce across 68 countries. Leads full-stack development, architecture discussions, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, secure onboarding solutions on AWS with a focus on Day 1 experiences and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize being a really great people manager. Build, motivate, reward and coach a diverse team of Software Development Engineers; recruit and retain top talent; day-to-day people and performance management.
  • Set the strategic vision for your team and create strategy documents and roadmaps that align with organizational goals
  • Lead your team to build new products with quality, security, robustness and scale as top priorities; help sort out technical and product requirements and priorities; align with cross-organizational partners
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions for full stack software
  • Delight customers by understanding customer challenges and applying innovative technology to solutions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of engineering experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, livesite operations)
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams
