About the role
Experienced macOS Engineer needed to design, automate, and manage a scalable fleet of Apple devices. Focus on automation, reliability, and collaboration across continents to meet business needs and deployments.
Responsibilities
- Standardising and automating device management
- Developing scripts and tooling
- Optimising MDM systems
- Integrating new tools and services
- Collaborating with colleagues across three continents to understand business needs
- Troubleshooting issues, developing new solutions, sharing knowledge, and planning deployments
- Documenting work clearly and thoroughly
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a technical engineering role managing, monitoring and deploying macOS devices in an enterprise environment
- Strong experience with developing Python or bash/zsh automation scripts and tooling
- Extensive experience with managing macOS devices using an MDM platform such as Intune, Workspace One or Jamf Pro
- Understanding of software distribution and patching technologies for macOS and knowledge of macOS security features and best practices
- Experience with managing the life cycles of Apple devices using Apple Business Manager
- Experience with integrating a variety of systems to fulfil business needs
- Ability to troubleshoot macOS operating systems, applications, peripherals, and network problems
- Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning
- Clear and concise communicator with excellent people skills; high level of customer service
- Flexible and reliable team player who enjoys collaboration
- Self-motivated with good judgment to drive projects forward when colleagues are offline
- Fluent in English
