About the role

Backend-focused role at Formance building open financial backend modules (payments, reconciliation, workflow engines) with microservices, PostgreSQL expertise, and cloud-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Write quality, scalable and maintainable code
  • Develop micro-services and work with distributed systems
  • Collaborate with team through code reviews, peer programming, and testing
  • Contribute to observability and monitoring of applications
  • Leverage cloud scalability (AWS)
  • Participate in CI/CD to deliver faster

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Deep knowledge of complex financial systems (payments, open banking, fintech)
  • Experience developing micro-services and distributed systems
  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and/or other databases
  • Writes quality, scalable and maintainable code
  • Team player with good communication in English
  • Self-driven and achievement-oriented
