About the role

Build and scale IoT infrastructure, improve developer tools, optimize platform performance, and enhance observability at Seam, a company providing API for IoT devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design systems handling millions of API requests and complex background jobs for device communications
  • Build TypeScript tooling and frameworks to accelerate device integrations and improve code sharing
  • Optimize PostgreSQL queries, design caching strategies, and scale platform to handle 10x growth
  • Transform testing processes to improve reliability and speed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years backend engineering with platform/infrastructure focus
  • Expertise in TypeScript and PostgreSQL (query optimization, scaling)
  • Strong distributed systems and background job processing experience
  • Experience building fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as code experience
