About the role

Seeking a Senior or Staff Product Engineer to develop APIs and integrations for IoT devices, abstracting device complexities, and building developer-friendly products from backend to frontend.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve integrations with IoT devices across manufacturers and protocols.
  • Design and ship customer-facing APIs and SDKs that are reliable and simple.
  • Identify opportunities to build new products from scratch, such as access scheduling systems.
  • Develop enterprise connectors for large customer deployments.
  • Engage with customers via Slack, address bugs, gather feedback, and iterate on products.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years software engineering with strong backend focus.
  • Expert in TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Deep REST API design experience.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs at scale.
  • Shipping customer-facing products.
  • Comfortable with React/frontend development when needed.
