About the role
AI-Powered Company OS startup offering a no-code platform to build and deploy custom full-stack applications. Founding backend engineer role focused on core services powering multi-agent AI workflows, REST APIs, and scalable backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the engine room. Architect and ship the core services that power our multi-agent AI workflows: rock-solid restful APIs, data models built for evolution, and deployment/debug tools that just work.
- Be the go-to expert. Troubleshoot critical issues in production, mentor peers on system design, and evangelize best practices across services and languages.
- Move at startup speed. Partner directly with customers: jump on customer calls, diagnose pain points, and deliver impactful improvements in hours, not quarters.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of backend engineering experience and solid CS fundamentals (exceptional college grads with strong intern/co-op experience considered)
- Fluent in Python and TypeScript; experience with FastAPI and/or NextJS
- Understanding of databases (KV, SQL, Document) and when to use/optimize them
- Experience developing, testing and scaling RESTful APIs
- Self-motivated, ownership-minded, low ego; thrives in fast-paced environment; interest in building engineering culture
- Product-focused mindset; values code quality with pragmatism for shipping fast
- Excitement about AI/ML applications; experience with LLMs, agents, automation is a plus
