About the role

Cotera is building a prescriptive analytics platform that automates business processes with AI. The role is a full-time in-office position in New York City, focused on building across the stack, handling data at scale, and delivering customer value through AI-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Work on our React Frontend that uses DuckDB WASM to allow customers to interact with their data
  • Build infrastructure that processes millions of automations for our customers
  • Improve our relational algebra compiler that transforms complex data operations into efficient data warehouse queries
  • Expand on our multi tier query caching system that can share partial results between queries
  • Develop intuitive user interfaces that help customers build sophisticated AI workflows without headaches
  • Solve challenging problems at the intersection of distributed systems, compiler theory, UX, and practical AI applications

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience
  • Experience with TypeScript, PostgreSQL, React (Tech Stack)
  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and system design
  • Comfortable diving into unfamiliar codebases and improving them
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work directly with customers (concerns about communication overhead)
