About the role

Infrastructure Engineer at Roboflow focused on securing, scaling, and maintaining the product backend infrastructure including cloud architecture, databases, file storage, search cluster, micro-services, and machine learning pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Secure, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering Roboflow's product backend (cloud architecture, databases, file storage, search cluster, micro-services, ML pipelines)
  • Work alongside the infrastructure team and cross-team projects spanning product, operations, and customer-facing initiatives
  • Participate in on-call rotations
  • Define SLAs/SLOs and address security and reliability incidents across the platform
  • Contribute to infra-as-code solutions and collaborate with full-stack developers on SaaS design/operation
  • Improve security practices to support SoC2 / GDPR / HIPAA alignment where applicable
  • Engage in cost optimization and security reviews across the Roboflow stack
  • Hands-on coding in Python, JavaScript and related technologies as part of product features

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure/DevOps or related field
  • Production experience with Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Kubernetes Helm, bash, Python automation)
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS and GCP) and site reliability practices (monitoring/alerts/scaling)
  • Node.js and Python programming skills; ability to work with full-stack developers
  • Experience with ML/big data at scale (GPU, Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Spacelift)
  • Knowledge of security practices and SaaS security certifications (GDPR, ISO27001, SoC2) a plus
  • Prior exposure to ML libraries/stacks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, OpenCV) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and context switch across infrastructure, security, and systems engineering
