About the role

Infrastructure Engineer role at Roboflow focusing on securing, scaling, and maintaining core infrastructure with a balance of rapid delivery, reliability, and security in a high-autonomy, AI-native startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Securing, scaling, and maintaining the core infrastructure powering Roboflow (cloud architecture, databases, file storage, search clusters, microservices, and ML pipelines)
  • Collaborating with product, operations, and security teams on product and customer-facing projects
  • Running and optimizing high-availability machine learning inference services
  • Developing IaC solutions to scale the platform cost-effectively
  • Defining SLOs/SLAs and participating in incident response
  • Improving Observability and Alerting stack and related processes
  • Identifying and acting on cost-optimization opportunities
  • Contributing code (Python, JavaScript, etc.) as part of feature delivery
  • Fixing security vulnerabilities and bugs
  • Hardening systems to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR requirements and achieving audit readiness
  • Participating in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability

Qualifications

  • Production experience with Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Helm, scripting with Bash and Python)
  • Experience operating and scaling large-scale apps in AWS and/or GCP
  • Development skills in Node.js and Python
  • ML/Big Data Ops experience (GPUs, Docker, Kubernetes; familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow)
  • CI/CD automation experience (GitHub Actions or Spacelift)
  • Pragmatic security practices for cloud operations
  • AI-native engineering mindset and familiarity with leveraging AI tools in development lifecycle
  • Ability to work across disciplines and wear multiple hats (infrastructure engineer, developer, security analyst)
