About the role

Reducto is hiring a founding Software Engineer to work on core API and on-prem deployments, helping build the ingestion layer connecting human data with LLMs.

Responsibilities

  • Making improvements to API design and pre-processing algorithms (chunking, structured extraction, etc.) based on customer feedback.
  • Experimenting with new techniques and output structures to improve LLM accuracy.
  • Build internal tooling and evals to better understand/analyze failure cases.
  • Working directly with the founders and customers to shape the product direction and engineering strategy.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of experience building real world applications.
  • Exceptional at Python or similar.
  • Ability to build tools as needed, e.g., a quick Streamlit app.
  • A quantitative approach to building products, with the ability to debug, experiment, and iterate fast.
  • Comfortable with full development lifecycle, from ideation to shipping.
