About the role

Senior/Staff full-stack engineer position at Verse Medical, an AI-enabled ordering platform for medical equipment and supplies. Full-time role in San Francisco with emphasis on building hospital-type software infrastructure, connecting providers, payors, and patients to enable at-home and clinic-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Build software for hospitals and patients that will make their lives easier.
  • Find creative solutions to complex technical and product problems.
  • Build prototypes fast, but with a path in mind to turn them into robust systems over time.
  • Operate with a lot of independence and responsibility in solving complex issues.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders outside of engineering to figure out the right solutions to issues.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years experience building, shipping, and maintaining full-stack applications in a production environment.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or other relevant technical focuses.
  • Proficiency in building applications with both backend (e.g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript) and frontend (e.g., React, Vue) technologies.
  • A strong command of SQL and experience designing and querying relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • The ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
