About the role

Software Engineer role at OnePay focused on building product-facing backend features, APIs, and scalable systems, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality financial products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features, API's, and products.
  • Work closely with other engineers to ship code. We enjoy collaboration and partnering on hard problems.
  • Architect and designing highly scalable and reliable products.
  • Building and maintaining documentation. As a growing and remote organization, having the necessary documentation is key to our success.
  • Solve complex problems that arise at scale. We deal with real-world money movement and sensitive financial data at scale and are creating novel financial mechanics with no real precedent.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product-facing backend development.
  • Strong track record of delivering high-impact features and products.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing API's.
  • Curiosity and passion for emerging AI tooling, with practical experience incorporating tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude into real-world execution.
  • Drive and proactivity - everyone here is a builder and executor
