About the role

Software Engineer at Juicebox responsible for designing, building, and shipping product features end-to-end, with focus on search ranking, data sources, and user onboarding. Involves working with LLMs and a stack including Next.js, React, Node.js, OpenSearch, AWS, Spark, and various inference providers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship product features from end to end — many built on LLMs.
  • Fine-tune models to extract relevant insights from profiles and build feedback loops for improving search queries.
  • Work on questions like optimizing ranking of profile results, adding new filters or data sources to the search engine, and delighting users in the first 5 minutes of sign-up.
  • Collaborate on engineering decisions with founders and focus on core stack (Next.js + React, Node.js, OpenSearch, AWS SQS, Spark, inference providers + LLMs).

Qualifications

  • You've built something from scratch — a startup, project, or feature.
  • You enjoy working hard and owning projects.
  • You are hands-on, move fast, and learn best by building.
  • You've shown excellence in education, work experiences, projects, or similar.
  • You take asymmetric bets.
  • You have some experience with the core of our stack: Next.js, AWS, etc.
