About the role

The role involves designing user experiences to support scientists, particularly focusing on the small molecule solution, owning strategy, roadmap, and execution, and collaborating cross-functionally to innovate in biotech research tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to define product strategy, scope, and prioritization in a startup-like environment
  • Work through product problems from definition and opportunity to shipping features to our customers
  • Design and prototype multiple ideas quickly to validate product directions
  • Own the design for high-impact initiatives from research through implementation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software product design, ideally SaaS, with a user-focused approach
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating successful product shipping
  • Experience simplifying complex product architectures or workflows
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex decisions
  • Experience contributing to a design system for complex software products
  • Experience working in an agile environment with Product Management, Engineers, and Designers
  • Background in lab work, scientific research, or healthcare is advantageous but not required
