About the role

Databricks is hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack in Vancouver, Canada. The role focuses on delivering robust, scalable, and delightful products with an emphasis on user experience, working across the full stack (front-end to back-end) and collaborating with product management to translate data insights into accessible products.

Responsibilities

  • As a Fullstack software engineer, work with your team and product management to make insights from data simple.
  • Set the foundation for how we build robust, scalable and delightful products.
  • Contribute across the entire stack from UI/UX to backend services, in alignment with multi-year product visions and incremental deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Passion for user experience and design and a deep understanding of front-end architecture.
  • Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
  • Motivated by delivering customer value.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or VueJs/Ember).
  • 5+ years of experience with server-side web technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, Scala, C#, C++, Go).
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes).
  • Experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
