About the role
Accomplished Sterile Processing Clinical and Lab Instructor to teach a 3-week Sterile Processing Technician program in St. Louis, focusing on hands-on instruction, competency assessment, and student support in-person.
Responsibilities
- Teach hands-on skills to students in an in-person lab setting
- Demonstrate proper technique for a given skill and provide live step by step tasks for students to perform
- Assess students’ lab and clinical competency for skills and provide feedback
- Review and evaluate the required skills students must demonstrate
- Communicate regularly with students over email and other communication tools
- Join weekly meetings to receive guidance and direction from the internal team at Stepful
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and prepare and plan for future modules, as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience teaching sterile processing, with knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising
- 3+ years of experience working as a certified Sterile Processing Technician at a clinical setting
- Sterile Processing Tech Certification
- Experience with digital tools for teaching and reading lesson plans
- Experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Stellar writing and communication skills
- Ability to work 30 - 40 hours per week
