About the role

A role focused on designing and delivering impactful cloud integrations and automation solutions within the biotech R&D sector, partnering with customer and internal teams to enable scientific progress.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical consulting engagements with IT professionals in biotech to understand their IT landscape and recommend how Benchling can enable their informatics vision.
  • Design, prototype, and oversee the delivery of cloud-based integrations and automations on Benchling’s developer platform.
  • Engage with product and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback and align solutions with Benchling roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with project managers for complex enterprise rollouts, identifying risks and designing solutions.
  • Build and deliver demos or POCs during initial implementation to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and platform product roadmap with industry and project experience.

Qualifications

  • B.S in a life sciences discipline or engineering/computer science
  • 5+ years of client-facing software implementation and/or consulting experience, with success managing enterprise-scale SaaS projects.
  • Experience with REST APIs and Python for integrations, demos, and example code sharing.
  • Proven success in technical leadership and conceptual modeling for complex concepts.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud development processes, tools, and architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical solutions clearly.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 10-20%.
