About the role

Design and deliver impactful software solutions integrating Benchling within complex IT ecosystems for life sciences R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical consulting engagements with IT professionals at biotechnology companies to understand their IT landscape and recommend configurations.
  • Design, prototype, and oversee the delivery of cloud-based integrations and automations on Benchling’s developer platform.
  • Engage with product and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback, align solutions with roadmap.
  • Collaborate with project managers for complex enterprise rollouts, identifying risks and designing solutions.
  • Build and deliver demos or POCs during initial implementation stages to align stakeholders.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and platform roadmap, leveraging experience.

Qualifications

  • B.S in a life sciences discipline or engineering/computer science.
  • 5+ years of client-facing software implementation and/or consulting experience, with success managing enterprise SaaS projects.
  • Experience with REST APIs and Python for integration demos and example code.
  • Proven success in technical leadership and conceptual modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud software development processes, tools, and architectures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to present complex solutions clearly.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed.
