About the role

Senior reporter role focused on exclusive content about Limited Partners, General Partners, fundraising, allocations, and commitments in North American renewables, power, and infrastructure sectors. Primary role feeding content into Infralogic publication and supporting other products within the group.

Responsibilities

  • Build close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, advisors
  • Shape global coverage of Limited Partners and General Partners, including allocations, commitments, targets and people moves
  • Generate ideas for longer-form coverage, collaborate with Infralogic data and research teams to ensure accurate, exclusive, market-scooping news and analyses
  • Write an average of four exclusive stories per week, and one long form piece every month (LP/GP profiles, Infralogic Fund Market Tracker, Fundraising Report)
  • Assist with ION Analytics’ events, primarily Infralogic, with content creation, panel moderation and speaking
  • Collaborate with regional editor, senior editors, and colleagues across the group to create content for key customer segments
  • Maintain high standards of copy and adhere to group-wide compliance policies

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the financial market, with proven record of reporting exclusives
  • At least three years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom with global exposure
  • Proven record of breaking news for a media organisation and writing in-depth analyses
  • Ability to spot trends in market data and conduct research to identify and produce reports
  • Track record of building a network of sources to produce reports
  • Strong news and analyses writing skills
