About the role

Lead the data science roadmap, develop AI-powered solutions, and build a high-performing team to enhance customer experience, business insight, and decision-making through advanced machine learning models, Generative AI, and LLM-based systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, training, deployment, and optimisation of machine learning and Generative AI models for business-critical applications.
  • Build and implement solutions leveraging LLMs (such as GPT, Claude, or LLaMA) for personalisation, recommendation systems, summarisation, or intelligent automation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where data science can create measurable business value.
  • Design A/B tests and run experiments to validate hypotheses and optimise user experiences.
  • Ensure models are scalable, explainable, and production-ready.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Business teams to translate insights into actionable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning, AI, or Data Science.
  • Proven expertise in LLMs and Generative AI — including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and integrating LLMs into applications.
  • Strong foundation in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficient in data analysis, feature engineering, model evaluation, and production deployment.
  • Excellent understanding of NLP, deep learning architectures, and ML Ops pipelines.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a Tier-1 institute (IIT, IISc, BITS, ISI, etc.) preferred.
