About the role

Lead research for Superhuman's Agents team to influence product development and strategy through user insights, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and inform product decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with data science, product management, product marketing, design, and engineering to identify research topics.
  • Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods.
  • Lead exploratory and evaluative research to inform product strategies.
  • Use research to lead vision and strategy discussions by analyzing, consolidating, or synthesizing knowledge about user, product, service, or business needs.
  • Act as a thought leader in the research domain, advocating for current or potential customers.
  • Understand strategic business goals and user needs to contribute to building a cohesive roadmap.
  • Partner with data science and quantitative researcher to define and monitor key experience metrics.
  • Communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment focusing on speed, rigor, and quality.
  • Generate insights that fuel ideation and evaluate solutions.
  • Work independently and autonomously.

Qualifications

  • Has a bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research, and product research and development.
  • Master’s degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
  • PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience designing, moderating, and analyzing qualitative research.
  • Experience designing, launching, and analyzing rapid quantitative research.
  • Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives.
  • Experience understanding product experimentation results.
  • Experience mentoring and fostering growth within a research team.
  • Excellent communication skills, articulating research rationale and presenting to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, analyze and execute efficiently, collaborate effectively in fast environments.
