About the role

Growth-focused product owner role at Flex, an AI-native private bank for business owners. Remote-friendly with locations in the US and Canada, aiming to build a multi-product growth engine and financial services experiences for affluent business owners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own Flex's "Growth engine" across "Infinite wedges"; own end-to-end growth for the full multi-product experience.
  • Drive the enhancement of financial services and products (mobile apps, online account management tools, virtual payment solutions); continuously improve UX and add features.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities within operational processes; develop internal financial solutions (automated reporting tools, data analytics platforms, workflow optimization) to increase efficiency.
  • Work with compliance and legal to ensure products meet financial regulations; mitigate risks through robust product design and implementation; stay updated with regulatory and security changes.
  • Conduct user research and market analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Partner with engineering throughout the development lifecycle; provide detailed product requirements, prioritize features, ensure timely delivery, safeguard data, ensure compliance.
  • Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to optimize products.
  • Work with customer support to address inquiries and improve satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product roadmap and strategy aligned with Flex's objectives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role at a startup with a focus on financial products.
  • Can run sprints.
  • Extremely high trajectory and horsepower; ownership mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of credit risk assessment, lending processes, and banking operations (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with compliance standards, regulations, and security protocols in credit/banking (nice to have); willingness to become an expert is a must.
  • Excellent communication, translation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data and market insights for decisions.
  • Proficiency with product management tools to manage backlog and track progress.
  • Passion for innovation, customer-centricity, and continuous improvement.
