About the role

Lead the end-to-end product strategy, go-to-market, and execution for Benchling's small molecule solution, a new AI-native product line aimed at accelerating scientific research.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for Benchling’s small molecule R&D solution, prioritizing features based on market opportunity, customer needs, and business impact.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for the product, collaborating with marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure successful launch and adoption.
  • Partner closely with customers and field teams to understand scientific workflows, pain points, and market trends.
  • Translate domain-specific insights into scalable software capabilities with exceptional UX/UI integration across Benchling’s platform.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver high-quality products on time and measure success using clear product KPIs.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment, communicating priorities, tradeoffs, and expected business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software product management experience, preferably with a B2B SaaS product.
  • Proven ability to lead and ship complex product initiatives and drive 0→1 product development.
  • Bias for action with a history of shipping products quickly and iteratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Knowledge of small molecule R&D or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire domain expertise in a complex, regulated industry.
  • Strong communicator thriving in cross-functional, fast-moving environments.
  • Empathetic collaborator who can bridge the gap between scientists, engineers, and business teams.
