About the role
Primary solution lead with Benchling’s largest customers and prospects, deploying solutions into complex enterprise IT environments, interfacing with vendor solutions, lab instruments, and legacy applications. Acts as a trusted adviser translating customer objectives into detailed solutions to accelerate biotech research and development.
Responsibilities
- Partner with account executives, peers, and leadership to develop account and deal strategies.
- Manage discoveries to uncover customer needs and decision criteria.
- Craft solutions based on Benchling capabilities, industry standards, and R&D functions.
- Present and demonstrate solutions persuasively, manage questions and objections.
- Engage with product management to provide insights into customer needs and influence roadmaps.
- Create reusable solutions, content, and trainings; mentor and support other SCs.
Qualifications
- PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or similar Life Science field.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience, ideally customer facing.
- Experience with scientific/informatics software such as LIMS, ELN, etc.
- Ability to model scientific data and craft solutions based on industry best practices.
- Understanding of research technology adopted by biopharma companies.
- Agile mindset and ability to quickly adapt new customer engagement processes.
- Ability to establish trust as a scientific advisor and pitch effectively.
- Willing to travel 25-30%.
