Store Floor Lead at Sur La Table in Murray, UT, supporting the GM/SM as MOD to drive sales, operations, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the sales floor and oversee daily store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to elevate performance and team engagement.
- Support onboarding, training, and development of new associates.
- Represent Sur La Table’s brand through memorable, educational guest experiences.
- Stay current on products and participate in training to maintain expertise.
- Lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture and address customer concerns promptly.
- Support achievement of store sales goals and motivate the team to maximize selling opportunities.
- Identify customer needs and offer relevant solutions to meet monthly sales targets.
- Direct employees to maintain appropriate stock levels and visual merchandising standards.
- Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS, and RARs.
- Adhere to wage and hour laws and accurately record time worked.
- Model and communicate policies and SOPs effectively to associates.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
- 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a specialty or culinary retail environment.
- Strong leadership and ability to inspire, develop, and retain a high performing team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Passion for community engagement and exceptional customer experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.
