About the role

The Utility Billing Specialist provides utility billing services for multifamily housing clients by managing an assigned portfolio of properties, preparing resident utility charges, and supporting client and resident billing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of multifamily housing properties
  • Complete monthly resident utility billing activities in accordance with department procedures and KPIs
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding billing requirements, approvals, and billing-related questions through email and phone.
  • Respond to resident inquiries regarding utility charges and billing activity through email and phone
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather information and resolve billing issues
  • Review billing information for accuracy and identify discrepancies requiring escalation

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
