About the role
Adjunct RN nursing educator to teach OB, pediatrics, and maternal health in a hands-on skills lab for a Board of Nursing–approved Practical Nursing program, with on-site duties in Worthington/Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate in-person skills lab sessions at Stepful’s simulation lab in Worthington, Ohio, guiding practical nursing students through hands-on OB, pediatric, and maternal health competencies
- Deliver curriculum content across simulation-based learning experiences, providing real-time instruction, demonstration, and feedback
- Serve as a subject matter expert in OB, pediatric, and maternal health nursing — bringing clinical experience into the classroom to prepare students for real-world practice
- Evaluate student performance during skills lab sessions and provide constructive, timely feedback to support their progress toward licensure
- Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment where students feel confident building and practicing hands-on nursing skills
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as faculty in an RN or LPN education program
- Specialty clinical experience in pediatrics, obstetrics, and/or maternal health
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, with 5+ years of varied nursing experience across clinical practice, nursing education, and/or administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Active, unencumbered Ohio RN license
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners
- Availability to be in-person with students on Fridays. If available Friday through Sunday, that's a plus!
