About the role

General Ledger Specialist role in Milan within the Cedacri/ION Group, focusing on accurate financial accounting, closing and reporting, with Italian and IFRS standards, ERP/audit support, and HR-related postings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely general ledger accounting in compliance with OIC and IFRS standards
  • Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions
  • Support monthly and annual closing processes
  • Contribute to the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements
  • Collaborate with auditors, consultants, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities
  • Support the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and accounting procedures (SAP preferred)
  • Contribute to HR‑related accounting activities (e.g., payroll postings)
  • You may be asked to support additional finance-related tasks as your role evolves.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance (preferably with honors)
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting and tax, preferably in structured environments or consulting firms (Big 4)
  • In-depth knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC) and international standards (IFRS)
  • Strong understanding of Italian tax regulations
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
  • Accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English
