About the role

Senior engineering leader to coach and own the Custom Objects platform, responsible for designing, building, scaling, and supporting flexible data models within the HighLevel CRM. Focus on architectural direction, platform quality, and enabling users to model and manage custom data objects at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of ~10-15 engineers building the Custom Objects platform, including backend services, APIs, UI integrations, and automation support.
  • Oversee systems that allow customers to define, extend, associate, and use custom data objects with scale, performance, and safety.
  • Drive a distributed system at the heart of HighLevel automation, workflows, reporting, and data relationships.
  • Provide engineering excellence from architecture and reliability to observability and performance.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years managing teams building complex, high-scale, product-driven systems.
  • Experience with scalable, high-availability distributed systems.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring engineers and developing leaders.
  • Strong track record influencing architectural direction for multi-surface platforms.
  • Preferable but not required: Experience with GoHighLevel’s stack or similar (e.g., Node.js/TypeScript, Go, GCP, Firestore, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse).
