About the role

Enterprise Account Executive responsible for acquiring and growing focus customers in Databricks within the Media vertical in Japan, selling complex software, expanding use cases, building executive relationships, and guiding deals to close.

Responsibilities

  • Secure new logos with strategic accounts in the Media vertical.
  • Create a focused and targeted logo acquisition strategy.
  • Expand Databricks use cases in existing and newly won accounts to maximize impact for customers.
  • Establish essential C-Level relationships (Engineering, Platform, Architecture, Data Science) as industry advocates.
  • Build value in engagements to guide successful negotiations.
  • Plan, document, and drive the growth of Databricks usage for customers.
  • Develop a deep and detailed understanding of the customer's business.
  • Provide leadership to the customer, important staff, and technical teams.
  • Identify all important data use cases and buying centers to increase impact of Databricks.
  • Orchestrate and use Databricks teams and ecosystem partners to maximize impact on sales motions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience selling multi-million dollar complex software deals to Enterprise organizations in Japan, within the Media sector.
  • Selling experience to Enterprise Media customers in Japan.
  • Knowledge of segment priorities, buying processes, cycles, and decision-making.
  • Background of selling usage-based SaaS solutions, or other Data/ AI/ML technologies.
  • 5+ years experience in sales methodologies and processes (e.g., MEDDPICC, value selling, Command of the Message).
  • 5+ years experience in hunting in greenfield space while expanding existing accounts.
  • Ability to build customer champions and collaborative teams to support expansion.
  • Understanding of developing and managing a partner strategy.
