About the role

Senior role leading Proton's social & community initiatives, focusing on building and scaling Proton’s community ecosystem, ambassador programs, and micro-communities to turn users into advocates while protecting brand health.

Responsibilities

  • Craft the community blueprint and own delivery of programs within scope (Community Hub, systems, frameworks, rituals to scale belonging)
  • Run and grow ambassador program (journeys, rewards, governance, onboarding, activation, nurturing, cross-functional alignment)
  • Grow micro-communities across platforms (Reddit, Discord, Telegram, Matrix, LinkedIn, etc.), foster real conversations, create rituals, identify community needs
  • Guard health & safety of Proton's brand (monitor sentiment, crisis response, policies and guidelines, partner with product/engineering to translate insights into roadmap)
  • Mentor and contribute to team standards and practices of the Social & Community team

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in community management, ambassador programs, or developer relations
  • Proven communication and copywriting experience
  • Hands-on experience contributing to community hubs or ambassador programs
  • Experience facilitating user communities or event-driven community activation
  • Strong communication skills; able to motivate and engage groups
  • Comfortable owning end-to-end programs autonomously within a team’s scope, collaborating with a manager on broader strategy
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions with trade-off analysis
  • Based in the US and familiar with US online culture
