About the role

Lead design for Superhuman Mail on iOS and Android, shaping the core mobile email experience and integrating AI features to enhance user productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Design best-in-class mobile email experiences, including inbox management, email composition, calendar UX, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Make powerful features feel effortless on mobile through native interactions.
  • Set and uphold high standards of design craft from concepts to polished execution.
  • Invent new mobile interaction paradigms beyond traditional email interfaces.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate designs rapidly to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to influence product strategy and execution.
  • Work with a team of designers in a collaborative, feedback-rich environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant product design experience, with impact on mobile-first or mobile-native products on iOS and/or Android.
  • Proven ability to create clear, scalable, and delightful mobile user experiences that simplify complex workflows.
  • Deep understanding of mobile platform conventions and when to follow or push beyond them.
  • Experience and curiosity with AI-powered products, including designing for trust, speed, and control on mobile.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end design process from discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and shipped products.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a bias to action and the ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • A portfolio demonstrating senior-level problem framing, interaction design, and high-quality execution.
