About the role
Neko Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the welcoming face of the clinic, perform high-quality clinical assessments, maintain a safe environment, and support clinic operations as the company scales. This on-site, full-time role is based in New York and offers compensation of $24–$28 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Welcome, assist, and guide members throughout their clinic visit, ensuring every interaction reflects a member-first mindset.
- Perform accurate, high-quality clinical assessments — vital signs, grip strength, eye pressure, ECGs, point-of-care tests, and phlebotomy — following established standards and protocols.
- Maintain exam rooms and uphold infection-control standards to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment.
- Document assessments accurately and update member records with precision, supporting continuity of care across the clinical team.
- Work closely with fellow Operators and clinical staff to refine workflows, elevate quality, and support clinic operations as Neko scales.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of clinical experience in a patient-facing role
- Hands-on experience with phlebotomy or venipuncture, EKG, and vital-signs.
- Customer service or hospitality experience (healthcare, retail, or service industry)
- Active CMA, CCMA, or LPN. Other nationally accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy certifications are also accepted: RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CPT
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
