About the role

Software Engineer to work on Bugbot, an AI-assisted code review tool. Full-stack IC role responsible for end-to-end feature development, model integration, UI, integrations, onboarding, and maintaining Bugbot as the industry’s best AI code reviewer. Collaboration with ML, infrastructure, and product teams to scale the system as adoption grows.

Responsibilities

  • Launch new Bugbot features end-to-end from defining the feature and building the UI to wiring up the backend and iterating on model behavior
  • Evolve the review pipeline adapting prompting strategies, model routing, context selection, and agent orchestration
  • Build integrations that embed Bugbot into every engineer's workflow
  • Own product quality and reliability by monitoring precision and recall, triaging false positives, improving observability, and earning trust with each review
  • Design onboarding and adoption flows that help teams go from first install to daily active usage
  • Partner with ML, infrastructure, and product teams to inform model improvements with real-world review data, shape the Bugbot roadmap, and scale the system as adoption grows
  • Own Bugbot's product surface end-to-end: features, integrations, review pipeline, onboarding, configuration, and user experience of AI code review
  • Not owning foundation model training or core infrastructure services, but acting as a key consumer and collaborator
  • Move fluidly between the model layer and the product layer
  • Quality is the product and Bugbot should provide genuinely useful outputs

Qualifications

  • Experience with agents that integrate into code review or CI/CD workflows
  • Shipped full-stack product features end-to-end and comfortable moving between frontend, backend, and model integration
  • Strong focus on developer experience and collecting evals from customers and internal team members
  • Ability to balance shipping fast to learn with not eroding trust with bad suggestions
  • Launched a product or feature to external users and owned onboarding, documentation, feedback, and iteration
