About the role

Sprinto is hiring a Lead SDET to own quality outcomes across the engineering org, build AI-native quality infrastructure, and lead testing strategy in a remote, India-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Own quality outcomes, not activities — focus on quality metrics and what you build to move them.
  • Drive CI pass rate to 90%+, reducing manual interventions.
  • Own bug leakage rate (target under 2–3%) with root-cause analysis for bugs leaked to staging/production.
  • Build systems to prevent flaky tests and quarantine them when they occur.
  • Shape automation coverage across E2E, API, and unit tests according to where value is added.
  • Stay 50–60% hands-on, writing Playwright TypeScript, evolving the framework, and reviewing PRs for AI-generated test code issues.
  • Build AI-native quality infrastructure using LLMs, agents, and AI tooling to scale quality problems.
  • Deliver engineering-wide quality impact with initiatives that change how developers/PMs ship, aiming to prevent ~90 bugs per month without manual QA.
  • Partner with product engineers to define quality gates before features ship and present quality metrics to engineering leadership.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Experience with CI pipelines.
  • Strong focus on quality as a specialization (not purely coding or management).
  • AI-native mindset: ability to test AI features, validate agent behavior, and handle non-deterministic systems.
