About the role

Responsible for owning, developing, and maintaining the content policies that guide Runway's AI systems, ensuring safety, fairness, and compliance across products.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain Runway's content policies, balancing user safety, creative expression, and operational feasibility.
  • Translate policies into LLM prompts and iterate to improve accuracy.
  • Track shifts in norms and use cases, updating policies accordingly.
  • Build frameworks for ongoing policy review to keep policies nimble and accurate.
  • Serve as the policy SME for internal partners, especially enterprise enablement team.
  • Translate policies into clear documentation for internal teams, partners, and users.
  • Contribute to broader team initiatives within a small T&S team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in content policy, trust & safety, or related field at a tech company.
  • Strong understanding of content moderation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning systems for content moderation, policy enforcement, or risk assessment.
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to produce clear documentation.
  • Strong data analysis skills to inform policy decisions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Proactive mindset with initiative-taking ability.
  • Collaborative working style with influence across teams.
