About the role

Senior Consulting Architect role focusing on design and hands-on implementation of the Elastic Stack with emphasis on Search AI, serving global enterprise clients in a distributed, largely remote environment with periodic on-site engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Elastic solutions and Elastic stack expertise to drive customer business value from our products.
  • Facilitate strategy, roadmap, design, and sizing in workshops with clients.
  • Advocate for customers and communicate effectively to stakeholders.
  • Deliver end-to-end Elastic projects and develop proof-of-concepts demonstrating value of the Elastic Stack.
  • Model data, develop queries, optimize performance, and tune clusters for fast search and analytics at scale.
  • Drive objectives, requirements gathering, project tasks, status, dependencies, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and support to identify feature improvements and defects; facilitate feedback to product teams.
  • Engage with the Sales team to scope opportunities and assess technical risks; mentor team members and learn from them.

Qualifications

  • Elastic Certification: Required — Active Elastic Certified Engineer.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Consulting Architect, Senior Technical Consultant, or equivalent senior IT role.
  • Strong consulting history delivering professional services in complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven Enterprise Search domain expertise and experience solving complex search problems (relevance, scaling, performance).
  • Experience with GenAI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector embeddings.
  • Deep understanding of distributed architectures (application, database, systems).
  • Hands-on experience with on-prem and/or major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Technical depth in Linux, networking, security, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation.
  • Programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Go).
  • Excellent communication, customer advocacy, relationship-building, and ability to lead architectural discussions.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites up to 20%.
  • Comfortable working in a highly distributed, remote team across multiple time zones.
  • BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
