About the role

Core contributor on the Developer Productivity team, designing and building systems, tools, and workflows to maximize SpaceXAI developer productivity from local development to global deployments, with a focus on fast builds, intuitive tooling, reliable environments, and seamless CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operate the foundations that power SpaceXAI engineering—from local development to global deployments.
  • Set technical direction within the team, write and review code, and collaborate across engineering to enable effortless building, testing, and shipping for developers.
  • Architect and maintain multi-platform development environments (macOS, Windows, Linux); design and maintain CI/CD systems (merge queues, build caching, flaky test quarantine, observability, safe rollout pipelines); automate developer machine provisioning (laptop setup, onboarding workflows); ensure parity between local development and CI environments with backend/infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience on developer productivity, internal platform, infrastructure, or build/test systems.
  • Regularly write and review code; experience improving build systems, scripting CI pipelines, and refining developer tooling.
  • Experience building or maintaining tooling or infrastructure for large-scale or multi-language codebases.
  • Strong focus on developer velocity, reliability, maintainability, and ability to tighten feedback loops.
